As Executive Director of APHN (Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches), I led a team of historians and board members in creating the institutions first ever Interpretive Plan in 2013.
Since its publication in 2013, Melrose Plantation has undergone a transformation guided by the Interpretive Plan. The Museum improved exhibit spaces in the ‘Big House’, ‘Yucca House’, ‘Clementine Hunter’s House’, completed a major restoration of the ‘African House’, and restored Clementine Hunter’s African House Murals and other major works owned by the Association.
