In 2017, I founded an employee DEAI committee at The National WWII Museum
Sensory Inclusion
Partnered with Kulture City to create headphone zones, quiet zones, social stories, and sensory bags.

LGBTQ Welcoming Guidelines
Began work on the AAM LGBTQ Welcoming Guidelines to make the institution more welcoming.
– Addition of All-Gender restrooms and joining the New Orleans LGBT “Everyone’s Welcome Here” program through NOLHA
– New lineup of content featuring LGBTQ World War II stories.
Accessibility for Visitors
Working with the new Accessibility Manager, we successfully designed multi-lingual, large print visitor guides, added changing stations to all bathrooms, created a breast-feeding room, captioned Beyond All Boundaries, and ASL training for front-line staff.

In 2019 the employee DEAI committee was promoted to a strategic work team lead by the Museum’s CEO and senior management. I remained an active member of the strategic work team until my departure from the Museum.
